BOUDOIR QUESTIONNAIRE
Why boudoir? What was your WHY?
-I wanted to have something empowering I did just for myself, not anyone else. And to have professional pictures to capture how I look, so I can always look back to them. My favorite show says "Take a thousand pictures of yourself now. One day you'll look back on them with much kinder eyes." -Schitts Creek
How did you discover Intimates by Sierra?
-I believe I was invited to the page by a family member
How did you feel before your session?
-Nervous! The only other time I've had a photographer was for my senior pictures 10 years ago.
How would you describe your boudoir experience to someone who's never done one before?
-Much more comfortable than I was initially expecting! Sierra is very easy to talk to and immediately made me feel comfortable and ready to have my pictures taken even though I had zero experience with it
How did you feel after your session?
-Empowered! I left feeling like "yeah, I just did the damn thing"
How did seeing your images make you feel?
-Shocked! I was initially worried I might hate them all and that I'd only see my insecurities, but I pointed out to Sierra during the shoot some things I didn't like so much and my features that I do like and she captured them beautifully. When I look at my pictures I don't notice my insecurities at all
Would you recommend boudoir to other women?
-Yes definitely! I think they're a great gift for a partner or fun to post, but mostly it's something to genuinely do for yourself. It's very empowering
What was your favorite part?
-After the first few minutes Sierra offered to show me a few pictures on her camera which definitely helped with my nerves because I realized they were actually turning out well. It made me think "Okay, I can do this"
What was the hardest part?
-Holding the poses, it is a workout!
Did you step out of your comfort zone?
-Yes definitely! I was standing completed naked taking direction on how to pose, but it wasn't uncomfortable AT ALL
What would you do differently next time?
-Relax more! The entire time running through my head was things like "suck in, make sure your face doesn't look weird, make sure your fingers aren't bent weird" but Sierra definitely captures your best angles
Do you have any regrets?
-No, we got all of the pictures I wanted to get and I'm very happy with my experience
Any advice for other women considering booking a boudoir session?
-Stop considering and just do it! As something completely for yourself!
